The focus of teaching has changed from wellbeing/wholesome development of students to syllabus, examinations and results. Teachers push students to follow a predestined path and do not encourage a scientific and creative approach of learning. Parents are an equal participant of the industrialized world and give priority to their individual ambitions rather than their children thus abandoning their role as a parent. The time and attention required by children for their nurturing goes missing and unnoticed. Another ill practice common in parenting is to force children to establish discipline which creates frustration and aggressive behavior in children. Putting pressure on children to achieve unrealistically high goals is damaging for children. If parents aren’t attuned enough to identify their children’s talents and interests then he/she might reject his own self leading to further conflict in his mind.
